Frequently Asked Questions
Please take a look at my gallery and price/size guide to get an idea of what sort of size and medium you prefer for your pet’s portrait. If you’re unsure I’m more than happy to offer advice and help you decide what is best for you.
To order your pet’s portrait I just ask for a few of your favourite photos to get started. Please fill out a contact form here with your ideas and attach your photos. I aim to respond to all messages within 24-48 hours, please check your junk mail if waiting for a reply.
To book your portrait I ask for a minimum £25 deposit, this secures your quote and time in my diary. Before booking I will let you know an approximate start date. The final payment is due once the portrait is complete.
Deposits can be paid via bank transfer, or cash/card at in-person events.

As someone who is completely obsessed with her dog, I totally get it... you could line up 100 dogs of the same breed but you'd be able to spot yours straight away.
When you look through my gallery, whilst you can see the portraits look realistic, it's impossible for you to tell if they actually look like the pet.
I really pride myself in my personal approach to each commission, I love to work with you every step of the way and learn about your pet as much as I can to create the most accurate portrait that not only looks like them, but feels like them too.
I ask for multiple photos to work from, meaning I'm able to create a fuller picture in my head of what your pet actually looks like, as I know different lighting can make them appear a different colour, some poses make their nose look bigger.. and sometimes they have a crazy hair day!
I share a lot more behind the scenes process, working with pet owners, and 'photos vs drawings' on my social media - you can follow me here on Instagram

Whilst I love to draw your favourite pets and animals, unfortunately I don’t take on commissions for human portraits.
Although in the past, a few of my artworks have included elements of their owners, so please just ask if you’re unsure, see examples below.

I always enjoyed art growing up, whether it was at school or at home, I was always looking for things to draw, paint, and colour. I studied art at GCSE level when I was 14-15 and achieved the highest grade A*, however I didn’t choose to study it any further than this.
After A levels I then went on to complete a HND in Animal Studies, during my final year I decided to teach myself how to draw, and subsequently start my business.
Being able to draw realistically has been a goal of mine for as long as I can remember. My portraits now are a result of years of practice. I have been focused on art since March 2021, taking commissions and practicing every day (instead of revising for my exams!)
Whilst I have no formal higher education in art, you can be assured that my portraits are completed to the highest standard… the perfectionist in me won’t allow anything less!
